Aidan Spila,
Co-Artistic Director
Born and raised in Edmonton, Aidan has been a dedicated theatre artist since his first drama class in 2012. Now having finished his studies at MacEwan, all he wants to do is make more theatre- which is why he’s very happy with the direction this company is going.
Aidan has been a part of many shows and musicals including Legally Blonde, The Crucible, Pippin, Spring Awakening, Follies, Blue Stockings, RENT, and many more.
Abigail LaForest,
Co-Artistic Director
Abigail LaForest is a young soprano, actor, and dancer from Drayton Valley, Alberta. They are a recent graduate of Macewan’s Theatre Arts Diploma and the co-Artistic Director of Something Gained Theatre Co. They’re incredibly excited to bring the joy of theatre to people from across Alberta. Abigail has experience making theatre accessible as a camp counselor and as a support worker to those with special needs and is excited to curate theatre camps that will leave minds inspired.
Emma Abbott,
Camp Host, Theatre Camp Project
Emma Abbott is a passionate actress and singer who has been involved in theatre for many years, and is thrilled to be a part of Something Gained Theatre Company. Just graduating from the Theatre Arts Program at MacEwan University, Emma hopes to bring all that she has learned in acting, voice, and movement to entertain and inform others. She is especially excited for their most recent project: an online summer theatre camp for kids aged 8-12.
Emma was a part of the Citadel's Young Musical Company from 2017-2018. She has performed in various shows including Legally Blonde, The Crucible, Pippin, Mamma Mia!, Bat Boy: The Musical, and Eurydice.
And, of course, everyone else.
